Lately, I’ve been reflecting on the quiet debts I owe to those around me.

I wouldn’t be the person I am today without those who supported, watched over, and stayed by me.

Some debts in life aren’t financial—they’re about trust, kindness, and patience. More than academic progress, I believe it is the maturity I gain through life experiences that truly shapes me.

When I completed my military service, I thought I had grown enough. But looking back, I now see that wasn’t the case. I’m deeply grateful to the family, friends, mentors, seniors, and juniors who accepted me as I was and continued to believe in me, even when I fell short.

And I don’t want to repay that debt with words alone. I believe the best way I can give back is through contribution—by offering what I have to others and the world. I hope to grow into someone strong and warm-hearted, who can return more than I’ve received.

Please keep your eyes on me.

I’ll keep moving forward—calmly, humbly, but with unwavering determination.

요즘 문득, 주변 사람들에게 마음의 빚을 지고 살아왔다는 생각을 자주 합니다.

저를 지켜봐주시고 때로는 조용히 곁을 지켜주신 분들 덕분에 지금의 제가 있으며, 살면서 갚아야 할 빚이 있다면 그것은 어쩌면 돈보다 마음에 관한 것일지도 모른다는 생각을 합니다.

외형적인 성장보다 더 중요한 것은 결국 제가 인생을 살면서 배우고 있는 '성숙함'이었습니다. 군 전역 후 저는 충분히 성장했다고 생각했지만 돌아보면 그렇지 않았습니다. 부족한 저를 있는 그대로 받아들여 주시고 믿고 기다려 주신 가족ㆍ은사님들ㆍ친구들 그리고 선후배님들께 이 공간을 빌어 진심으로 감사드리며 특히, 신세를 많이 진 모교 대학원 교수님들ㆍ선후배 및 동기님들께 더 깊이 감사의 말씀을 드립니다.

저는 이 빚을 단순히 감사의 말로만 갚고 싶지 않습니다. 제가 할 수 있는 방식으로 주변 사람들에게 그리고 사회에, 공헌함으로써 갚아나가고 싶은 마음입니다. 더 단단하고 따뜻한 사람이 되어 더 큰 것을 돌려드릴 수 있기를 바랍니다.
